The Division High-End blueprint crafting bug locking players out of their accounts
If you purchase and craft certain High-End items in The Division in a certain order, you may be locked out of your account.
Some The Division players are running into a very strange bug that results in them not being able to connect to the game's servers.
According to Reddit user Shen187, the issue first happened to them after purchasing a High-End backpack blueprint, crafting it, and doing the same with a High-End kneepad blueprint.
According to Shen187, they first noticed that all items were lost after joining a friends' group in the Dark Zone. Even though they could see the gun model on the character's back, none of the items were actually there. When attempting to log off and back in, Shen187 was unable to connect.
Reports of similar occurrences are also available on the game's forums, in a massive 250+ page thread. It's not exactly clear what triggers it, but loads of reports reference buying and crafting High-End armour.
As strange as it may sound describing the issue, the effect is very real, prompting Ubisoft to acknowledge it and promise a fix. "We are looking into the issue, there's no need to spam us on all the channels," wrote a publisher representative.
"We're doing what we can, and once we have information to share we will. Apologies for the inconvenience, I hope it gets sorted soon."
In the meantime, the rep recommended affected players to contact Ubisoft Support to log your issue with them.
