The Division 2 debuts at No.1 in the UK chart, but retail sales are a fraction of the original's

Ubisoft's follow up to 2016's The Division has sold 80% less than the original.

The Divison 2 launched last week, and managed to debut at the top of the UK charts despite its sales clocking in at 20% of the original game's (via GamesIndustry.biz).

It's possible that the title could have sold significantly more with digital sales accounted for, but these figures are for physical copies only.

The majority of The Division 2's sales at retail were on PS4, which made up 60%.

Last week's No.1, Devil May Cry 5, saw a 76% drop in sales and slid down to No.6. GTA 5 climbed up from the bottom of the top 10 to sit at No.3, nestled comfortably behind Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2, giving the studio two top five titles this week.

Anthem plummeted out of the top 10 entirely, falling from No.4 to No.11, and Metro Exodus has suffered a similar fate, finding itself at No.15, down from No.9.
