Ubisoft's previous Crew game was an open-world, free-roaming racing game where players took to the streets in a scaled-down - but still massive - representation of the United States. When that's your starting point, where do you grow for a sequel? If The Crew 2's trailer is anything to go by, simply allow for racing that goes beyond roads.

Ubisoft's footage shows its main character driving just about everything - cars, off-road vehicles, racecars, speed boats, and bikes. There are even several sequences where the protagonist takes planes into the sky, opening an entirely new racing vista. Whether you're a long-time racing fan or only interested in a single title, one thing is clear: You won't have any shortage of options here.

The Crew 2 is set to launch in early 2018 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, with a multiplayer beta opening soon.
