The Behemoth launches indie initiatives Gold Egg Project and Research Centaur

The Behemoth has announced two initiatives in order to help fellow indie developers.

The Gold Egg Project is one initiative which provides alternative funding and is one of "the most efficient in the industry." The programs is for indies who wish to self-publish without giving up intellectual property rights.

Two games have been supported by Gold Egg so far: Closure from Tyler Glaiel and Jon Schubbe and Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime from Asteroid Base.

"The only cheaper way is to probably borrow the money from your mom," according to The Gold Egg Project FAQ via GI International.

The other initiative, The Research Centaur, which offers quality assurance testing, usability audits and rental of its playtesting usability lab in San Diego, California.

Some its benefactors include Supergiant Games, which made use of the initiative with the iOS version of Bastion and its upcoming title, Transistor. Capybara Games also took advantage of the program with Super Time Force.
