November 2016 saw the release of a big, beautiful, hardcover book called The Art of Metal Gear Solid V. That book cwas comprised of all sorts of artwork from early character sketches by character designer Yoji Shinkawa all the way to final production shots. That book is now available for $12, by the way.

This article isn't about that book, though. Instead, I'm here to tell you that today, Dark Horse announced The Art of Metal Gear Solid I-IV, intended to be an all-encompassing look at the MGS franchise and an 'ideal companion' to the original Art of MGS5 book.

They say not to judge a book by its cover and most of the time, that's very true. This time, however, the cover of this upcoming book tells us all we could hope to know about this one - it's littered in iconic Yoji Shinkawa sketches. The kind that every die-hard Metal Gear Solid fan will instantly recognise.
