TGS Rumour: New Bayonetta unveil soon, Sega considering Sonic Generations for Wii U and Yakuza 5 for Vita

Sega is looking at a Wii U and Vita release of Sonic Generations, as well as Yakuza 5 for the latter, according to a TSSZ report. And a new Bayonetta will be unveiled soon

Nothing more on the Yakuza tidbit was dropped by the site's source. The game was announced a couple of weeks ago, but nothing's been shown yet.

For Generations, TSSZ said that "internal code allegedly already exists that hint toward the console edition" of the game coming to the next-gen handheld. The Wii U version could be prepared for the system's launch, but only if sales of the announced SKUs so far are in its favour.

If Generations doesn't make it to Wii U, the site claimed that a separate Sonic game is in development for the system.

Bayonetta unveils happening this week

The site didn't say if it was a spin-off or an actual sequel, but it claims you're going to see a Bayonetta unveil that will lock in with TGS this week.

Its also said that an animated feature of some sort for the series is also in the works at Sega, although it's unknown if it's a short or a full-blown movie.

The original Bayonetta released in January 2010 for PS3 and 360, going on to sell more than a million units at the time.

Sega West CEO Mike Hayes recently suggested the company had planned out a roadmap for the Platinum action series, telling VG247 that it considered it "an IP that is relevant for the market. How we take that forward in the future, that’s all to be looked at, to be announced, no decisions are made on that, but that did well."

Sega's given us a no comment on the stories.
