TGS 2011 hits 222,000, 2012 event gets dated

CESA's announced that over 222,000 pepople attended Tokyo Game Show this year.

The numbers, which seen 222,668 people specifically pass through the Makuhari Messe, are a big jump on last year, but are still short on the attendance figures for this year's gamescom. The Cologne event hit 275,000 people in August.

The first two days, which were trade only, were in the mid-20,000 area, while its two public days were within the mid-80,000s.
