Terraria update adds over 1,000 new items

Terraria's long-awaited 1.2 update is live, and boy, is it hefty.
The update's most obvious change is an overhaul to the game's music and art, but there are 1,000 new items; 100 new enemies; four new bosses; 15 new pets, and even four new types of wood.
The lengthy patch notes can be viewed in full on PCGamesN, but to really see what's new you'll have to play the game, as a number of secrets have been added, too.
This is expected to be the last major update the sandbox title will receive, as Re-Logic is working on a new project.
