Terraria multiplayer added to mobile, free title update released for PSN, XBLA
Terraria has achieved 3 million in PC sales, 505 Games and Re-Logic have announced, and the news coincides with multiplayer arriving for the title on mobile platforms. A separate update is also available for console players too.
For iOS and Android, players will be able to co-op or participate in PvP with up to four other players on other mobile devices across the living room using Wi-Fi. This update also includes various bug fixes along with the ability to directly drop items into the world from your inventory bar.
This week also sees the launch of a patch for PlayStation 3 and a free title update for Xbox 360, giving players a glimpse of content from Re-Logic’s full Terraria 1.2 update - which is currently available on PC.
Console users now have an additional, dozen new items and recipes including two new armor sets, additional light sources and building blocks. It also includes over 20 new monsters, and eight new zombie enemies along with six new demon eye variants.
Terraria will be coming to Windows Phone 8 soon, with the full 1.2 update arriving on consoles early next year.
