Tequila Works reacquires the rights to Rime from Sony
Tequila Works has acquired the rights to its adventure game Rime from Sony, the studio announced on Twitter.
Per the tweet, the team reacquired the rights to its adventure game, and will continue to work on it.
Due to Tequila Works owning the rights to the game once more, it may no longer be a PS4-exclusive at launch; however, the company has yet to comment on the matter. But it's a possibility.
Announced as a PS4-exclusive at gamescom 2013, in February 2014 it was revealed through leaked documents the game was pitched for XBL to Microsoft for Xbox One and rejected by the company.
Xbox boss Phil Spencer stated later that the Xbox Live rejection was a mistake, but "part of job is living with mistakes."
Word on the game went quiet after gamescom 2014, leading many to wonder whether Rime was still in development. In October last year, Sony worldwide's Shuhei Yoshida stated it was still in development.
Well keep an eye out for any developments on the current situation with Rime.
