Mass Effect Andromeda was available as a free, ten hour trial for Origin Access subscribers, but this extended taster has now been made available to everyone.
Fire up your PC, PS4 or Xbox One and you can play ten hours of Mass Effect Andromeda for free, whether that's tackling the single-player campaign or jumping into multiplayer.
Back when Mass Effect Andromeda released it was super rough, but a series of patches has made it far more palatable. If you were put off by the initial reception you might want to take another look - especially as it won't cost you anything.
Even with the improvements, though, the opening hours are not the strongest the game has to offer. It's been several months since Mass Effect Andromeda's March release but there's been no word on what's happening with DLC. Rumours of a cancellation were shot down and we're still getting Mass Effect Andromeda multiplayer content updates, but we're starting to feel pretty uncertain the tease at the end of the game is going anywhere.
Perhaps it's for the best; Mass Effect Andromeda still has all that space face kissing action you love so much, but in other ways it proved a disappointing successor to a beloved trilogy. Maybe we should just move on.
