Telltale's Batman to run on upgraded engine, feature lots of Bruce Wayne

Telltale's take on Batman will be one that focuses a bit more on Bruce Wayne, as opposed to Batman full time.

At SXSW last week, Telltale revealed a whole bunch of details about its upcoming Batman game. For starters, we learned the studio's shooting for a summer release, and that the game will offer a fresh take on the universe.

More information is starting to come out from panel the studio held at the show, too. According to a summary on the community forums, Telltale will premiere lots of new tech with Batman, which itself will run on a "very upgraded" version of the studio's engine.

The five-episode first season will have a comic art style similar to the one seen in The Wolf Among Us, and Telltale is aiming for an M rating for the game.

The developer also confirmed that some scenes will give you the choice of playing as either Batman or Bruce Wayne, though in general the story will focus on the Bruce side of things more than other Batman games have.

Finally, the studio said it's taken criticisms aimed at against other projects to heart, and promised to release episodes on time this year.
