Tearaway controls "acknowledge the player"
Media Molecule wants touch and motion controls to make sense in the context of Tearaway. This new developer diary discusses how the team aspires to make non-traditional controls less gimmicky and more intuitive.
As you'll see, Media Molecule is keen on the controls "acknowledging" the player; one of the ways this is achieved is by having the players fingers appear on-screen when using the rear touchpad. It's like the game doesn't pretend it's not a game - you are interacting with it in that context, and it knows it.
Tearaway is a Vita exclusive due on November 22. It seems genuinely playful and joyful. Even Pat loves it.
