With so many options to choose from in Team Sonic Racing, you’ll likely need to know which ones are worth your time. Here’s the best Team Sonic Racing Builds.
Team Sonic Racing features 15 racers, each with their own set of stats. Once you consider just how much kart loadout can affect gameplay as well, you have a lot of options on your hands. To help you choose the best character and build for you, we’ve put together this Team Sonic Racing Best Character Guide. We’ll give you some builds to consider, and give you our pick for the best character in Team Sonic Racing. With three main types to consider, we’ll let you know the differences between Speed, Power, and Technique racers, and which to choose.
Team Sonic Racing Best Character
With 15 characters to choose from in Team Sonic Racing, you’ll need to know which ones are the best and which ones should be left at the pit stop. We’ve played a ton of Team Sonic Racing, and have landed on a best character. For our money, Silver is the best character in Team Sonic Racing. He has great stats, in that Boost and Speed are all high. With the right loadout, his handling is also great, and if it’s races that you’re taking on he’ll be a great all-rounder. You’ll unlock Silver after beating Chapter 2 of the main story. For a look at how to unlock characters in Team Sonic Racing, head here.
Team Sonic Racing: Speed, Power or Technique Style?
There are three main types of characters in Team Sonic Racing: Speed Power and Technique. Each has its own advantages, and you might want to switch between each for different events. Here are the main details on each one:
- Speed - Speed characters have higher acceleration and boost. You’ll want to use these for race events.
- Power - Power characters are built to take damage. They can ram through just about anything, so it’s perfect for those enemy attack modes, or for when a course has a lot of environmental hazards.
- Technique - Finally, we have the Technique type. Handling is the focus here, so using them for the drift challenges is a good idea.
Team Sonic Racing Best Loadout
Team Sonic Racing has a lot of customization where its karts are concerned. Luckily, there’s a very easy way to know which parts are the best; they’re painted gold. These gold items are legendary parts, and are earned by opening Mod Pods. The best loadout is all gold parts for each character, though early on you should be trying to up your Boost stat as much as possible until you earn a legendary. For Silver, use the Legendary bumper to bolster the ramming damage and defense. When paired with other speed-focused items, you’ll be able to get ahead and stay there.
How to Get Better Parts in Team Sonic Racing
Every character will have a base loadout to consider, with the option to build out their kart with additional parts. These additional parts can be earned by opening Mod Pods. You can read more about getting Mod Pods in our Team Sonic Racing Mod Pods Guide.
How to Customize Your Kart in Team Sonic Racing
Once you have earned some better parts in Team Sonic Racing, you’ll want to apply them to your character of choice. You can do so in two ways, the first being in the Garage section of the main menu. From here you can save loadouts and apply the later at the character select screen. You can also choose each individual part at the character select screen, in the bottom right of the character info menu.
