Team Ninja won't make any more PC games if modders are naughty
Dead or Alive 5 may be Team Ninja's last PC release, if modders can't adopt a "moral" tone in their customisation of the game.
Dead or Alive 5: Last Round director Yohei Shimbori has asked players to be respectful in how they approach modding the fighter, which is Team Ninja's first PC release*.
“We have to deal with mod issues from an IP holder perspective,” he told MCV.
“We would like to ask PC users to play our game in good moral and manner. Otherwise, we won’t be able to release a title for PC again.”
As for why Tecmo Koei has been pushing into the PC space, a realm usually ignored by big Japanese console publishers, Shimbori said that the adoption rate on PC gaming is increasing.
"These days, the perspective of PC gaming has changed drastically and we expect more fighting games will be released for PC users," he said.
Dead or Alive 5: Last Round hits PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One this month, and comes to PC in March.
