Team Fortress 2: Valve to stop selling 9 hats forever, get them while you can

Team Fortress 2 is no stranger to weird and wonderful head-gear. An update from Mann Co. on the TF2 Blog reveals that nine of the game store's hats have become doused in rotten mayonnaise and have to be sold off quickly. Once they're gone, they're gone. Better get in quick.

The blog update reads, "Bidwell was taking stock of some of our older merchandise this week and found out some idiot's been using one of our warehouses to store pallets of spoiled mayonnaise.

“Raccoons all over the place. Fancy Fedoras, Prussian Pickelhaubes, Football Helmets - these items were part of Mann Co. history. Some of them were the first items we ever shipped. They deserved a better end than rotting in a puddle of rotten condiments and raccoon poop, let me tell you."

It's bat-s**t mental, but the general idea is that the above hats will be on sale at the Mann Co. Store for the next two weeks, and after they they're gone. People can keep the hats after then if they own them already, you just won't be able to buy them after that point.

PCGamesN provided the above info and added a theoretical - that the market value of these hats could go up massively after they vanish from the game store. Is this a little bit of deliberate market shake-up on Valve's part? I guess we'll find out once they're removed from sale.
