Team Fortress 2 in-game store sales raise over $430,000 for Japan earthquake relief
The Team Fortress 2 community came through with a ton of money to help earthquake relief efforts for Japan.
Several days ago Valve released three exclusive in-game character hats for players to purchase via the in-game store to raise money for the Red Cross' efforts in Japan. The three hats, which included one that cost $100, were designed to become unavailable after the fund raiser was concluded.
On Friday, Valve announced on the official Team Fortress 2 website that $430,543.65 was raised for the Red Cross as a result of the in-game hat sale.
It's currently unknown how much money was raised from each hat individually.
