Synthetik gets free Legion Rising expansion today
Synthetik, the top-down rogue-lite shooter from Flow Fire, has received a big update today.
Titled Legion Rising, this new Synthetik content patch acts as an expansion in its own right, with so many new additions in fact that the game's price is going up to $20 from $15.
Legion Rising's biggest feature is the new class specialisations. The existing classes remain, but Legion's eight new subclasses add further diversity without messing too much with the existing class structure. As you'd expect, each subclass comes with unique starter weapons and traits.
I praised the game's class diversity and mechanics in my Synthetik impressions, and this looks to be refining it.
New content also includes an expanded arsenal of weapons and items, as well as enemies and bosses. Legion Rising is a free update to existing owners of Synthetik, so check it out if you haven't. For new players, hit up the Steam page for more and watch the new trailer below.
