Switch indies: Into the Breach, TowerFall, Samurai Gunn 2, Mineko’s Night Market, more
The Nintendo Switch Nindies Showcase today provided a look at many of the indie titles releasing on the system over the next several months.
A look at indie titles coming to Nintendo Switch in 2018 and into early 2019 was provided earlier today during a short presentation.
During the Ninties Showcase, 12 titles were highlighted, and while some of the games were previously announced, extra details were provided.
Highlights includes indie favorites such as Into the Breach and Hyper Light Drifter, as well as debut releases Bullet Age and Zarvot.
A firm release date was also provided for Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut and Hyper Light Drifter – Special Edition. Nintendo also announced Into the Breach is available today for Switch.

August Nintendo Switch Nindies Showcase
Hyper Light Drifter – Special Edition: Comes with an exclusive outfit that will help players locate hidden items. The Special Edition also includes new weapons like the Crystal Shot and deadly Blade Caster. It's out next week on September 6.
TowerFall: This version of the popular action game includes all the original and add-on content, as well as a new six-player battle mode. It also includes four additional Variants and the ability to play as Madeline and Badeline, two characters from indie game Celeste. It's out September 27.
Treasure Stack: A platformer which makes use of hookshots and grappling hooks, players will be tasked with navigating obstacles to stack treasure chests and solve puzzles. The game features cross-platform play with PC and Xbox and will be released this winter.
Zarvot: An arcade game starring the characters Charcoal and Mustard. In the game’s story mode, players adventure through nine worlds as they attempt to cheer up their best friend. In Versus Mode, friends can challenge other across five game modes. Zarvot launches first on Nintendo Switch in October.
Mineko’s Night Market: This adorable looking title features over 20 hours of story-based gameplay, with four regions to explore. Players will meet various villagers, go on quests, and craft various items. It also features lots of cats which makes it a solid buy in our book. It arrives on PC and consoles in early 2019.
Samurai Gunn 2: This sequel to the original features a new adventure mode along with the return of classic Versus Mode. Up ro four players can battle it out in sword-and-gun battles when it releases in early 2019.
Bullet Age: An other sword-and-gun game, Bullet Age is a co-op platformer with upgradable weapons with a cartoon art style. Players will feel HD Rumble when they attack and when locating hidden secrets. The game releases as console exclusive on Nintendo Switch in November.
The World Next Door: Influenced by anime, the story-driven game follows a "rebellious teenage girl trapped in a parallel world inhabited by magical creatures. Players will meet and develop friendships with a cast of characters by means of a reputation system. The game also features branching dialogue based on player choice. It's out in early 2019.
Levelhead: Here, players can design their own game levels using a level maker. This can be accomplished using both touch-screen and traditional controls. Subscribing to other people’s content allows players to create a curated feed of levels they can play. It also features leaderboards, level sharing and couch co-op along with cross-platform support. Levelhead releases for Switch in November.
King of the Hat: This fast-paced, hat-based party game finds players crushing their friends’ hats before they crush their own. Matches are short and designed for the couch or on-the-go with simple two-button controls. It features local or online multiplayer and releases in early 2019.
Untitled Goose Game: Part stealth and part sandbox , players take on the role of a goose. They will take on challenges and cause general "goose chaos." It's out on Nintendo Switch in early 2019.
Along with the game highlights, Nintendo also announced a new channel on Switch which focuses entirely on indie games. The Indie Channel is live starting today, and can be found by searching in “Find Channels” in the News app.
