Switch Galaxy Ultra headed to PS4, Vita at 60FPS - first trailer

As announced during Sony's gamescom press briefing, Switch Galaxy Ultra is coming to PlayStation 4 and Vita. Here's the first trailer, as well as details of the indie racer.

Like Switch Galaxy, the PlayStation Mobile title on which it is based, Switch Galaxy Ultra is sort of a racer and sort of an arcade reflex game - it reminds me of Flick Pig, and the trailer below gives the best explanation.

On the PlayStation Blog, developer Atomicom said the new version has new assets, a re-designed HUD and menu, new features, new levels, more ships, more power-ups and various improvements.

The most notable improvement is that the game will run in 60 FPS, despite a visual upgrade. There's also a story sequence told in comic strips, courtesy of Darren Douglas, a Judge Dredd cover artist who worked on every Wipeout game. It introduces two new characters, Vince and Amur, and has a licensed soundtrack, although Atomicom isn't ready to discuss which DJs it's signed.
