Survey says: Xbox 360 failure rate is 42%
A survey conducted by Nofussreviews polled 500,000 people and found that 42 percent have experienced hardware failure with Xbox 360 consoles.
The survey found that PS3 failures came in at 8 percent, and Wii had a 1 percent failure rate.
It also found that over 55 percent of Xbox 360 owners who experienced failures have needed more than one repair or replacement, with 39 percent needing a repair or replaced more than twice.
The poll didn't account for amount of time played, or console use.
It also does not account for the manufacturing date of the console, which in 2007 had chipset replacements made by original maker Falcon, and Jasper chipsets for the console starting in 2008.
