Super Ubi Land title to change following Ubisoft complaint

Ubisoft has asked indie developer Notion Games to change the title of its upcoming Wii U eShop exclusive Super Ubi Land to something less likely to confuse consumers.

"Been exchanging emails with Ubisoft. Unfortunately, we have to change the title of Super Ubi Land," the developer announced on twitter.

In response to fan umbrage, Notion Games was quick to demonstrate a generous attitude about the whole affair.

“Ubisoft is not doing anything wrong. They’re protecting their business just like any small business would. They don’t want Notion infringing on their brand. They’re being fair," the indie daid.

Super Ubi Land is a retro-styled platformer co-developed by Maestro Games, headed to Wii U and possibly 3DS at a later date.
