Ganondorf, Dark Pit, and Bowser Jr spotted in Super Smash Bros. 3DS leak

Super Smash Bros. 3DS seems to have sprung a leak, with new characters escaping from some hastily deleted videos.

Videos of Super Smash Bros. 3DS were posted to YouTube earlier today, apparently by way of an ESRB submission leak.

It might have all been a (very, very) clever fake but the instant copyright takedowns from Nintendo suggest it's all quite legit.

Despite the takedowns, all the info is still out there. On Imgur, you can see a collection of screens showing various menus and features. On NeoGAF, you'll find more images, links to download the videos and even a few GIFs.

The most exciting info obtainable from the videos is a number of characters Nintendo hasn't yet announced. Between footage and the character select screen, it looks like the roster will include Xenoblade's Shulk, The Legend of Zelda's Ganondorf, Mario's Bowser Jr., Duck Hunt's dog (does it have a name?), Earthbound's Ness, the robot NES peripheral R.O.B. and Kid Icarus's Dark Pit.

Some familiar franchise faces, like Metal Gear's Snake, are sadly missing - but that's not to say Nintendo won't support DLC characters.

Questioned about the alleged leak, Nintendo had little to say.

"We have nothing to announce at this time. For the list of announced playable characters for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS please visit: www.smashbros.com," a spokesperson told GameInformer.

Super Smash Bros. 3DS is due in early October. Super Smash Bros. Wii U is coming before the end of the year.
