Super Meat Boy PC gets RunMan, tons more DLC detailed
"Super-dark worlds" are on the way.
IndieGames has exposed the second-to-last PC-exclusive character for Super Meat Boy. It's RunMan, from RunMan: Race Around the World by Tom Sennett and Matt Thorson. We're pretending we've heard of it, but we haven't. Apparently it's good. We're not going to argue.
RunMan joins Half-Life's headcrab and others as playable characters for the game's desktop version.
The PC version of Team Meat's ultra-hard platformer ships on November 30. You can pre-order from Steam now.
In addition, Team Meat's confirmed what looks to be a huge amount of DLC on the way. Having just released 20 new Gish levels, the developer will ship two more free chapters before the end of the year.
The first, Meat Boy, contains 20 levels from the original Flash game. The second, I Meat Boy, will contain remixes of 20 of SMB's best levels.
"Basically, I take the 20 best levels in the game and remix them." said Team Meat's Edmund McMillen. "Think dark world versions of their dark world versions - super-dark worlds. You play the level twice, but it changes - places get locked out over time and force you back and forth. It's nuts."
Three more DLC chapters will release in the first quarter of next year, apparently. You should probably buy this at some point.
