Super Mario 3DS to include more classic power-ups than just the Tanooki suit
Nintendo has hinted at more classic outfits and the power-ups that go along with them for Super Mario 3DS, which is in addition to the already revealed Tanooki suit.
Speaking with ONM, the game's director, Yoshiaki Koizumi, said while he could not reveal just yet what is planned for the title, he did say to "definitely" expect "some more familiar suits," than just the raccoon outfit.
"I can't reveal the actual number of power-ups in the game right now, but suffice to say that we do try to include enough so that people can enjoy a variety of different kinds of play experiences in the title," said Koizumi.
"Also, I should point out that we don't necessarily decide on what number of famous Mario suits will appear in the game and proceed from there -- we try to find interesting gameplay ideas and then try to settle on what to do in different places."
The full interview with Koizumi cam be read in the August issue of Official Nintendo Magazine when it hits stands and mailboxes on July 7.
There's no date as of yet for Super Mario 3DS.
