Various game modes in Street Fighter 5 outlined in new trailer
A new trailer for Street Fighter 5 has been released, providing a look at some of the game modes in the fighter.
There's a Tutorial Mode in the game as well as Training Mode where players can practice various combos. Some are only able to be performed in specific setups, so this mode will give players an area in which to learn shortcuts usable shortcuts.
Character Story Mode which explores the backgrounds of "sixteen unique fighters," is another and once a character’s episode is completed, their story costume will be made available in the shop. These can be purchased using Fight Money.
A video surfaced recently showing some alternate costumes. We're unsure if these are from Character Story Mode or not.
Another mode is Survival Mode which task players will seeing how many opponents they can defeat under a set of restrictions. Players can boost their EX Gauge and score in this mode. Once the mode is cleared, it will unlock new colors corresponding to the player's level.
Capcom also provided more information on Network Battle Mode which can be viewed for Online Ranking Points in Ranked Matches or Casual Matches. Players can wait for matches on the Menu screen or in Training Mode and Story Mode.
Finally, there's also the Capcom Fighters Network (CFN) which will connect players with one another. They can see who is online through the global heat map and watch the worldwide battles. Users can search for specific players with rival search and view replays.
Capcom said there will be a "large number" of free game-related content updates post-launch. This includes the Cinematic Story Expansion, which expands existing character story elements.
It will be released as a free update for all players in June.
The final beta for Street Fighter 5 is going on this weekend and the game launches on February 16 for PC and PS4.
