Steam Winter Sale: Borderlands, Prince of Persia, more
It's one of the biggest game sales of the year, and now it's in full swing, Score massive savings on PC games through Steam's Winter Sale, starting with franchise-wide discounts, publisher packs, and more.
In addition to daily deals, flash sales, and publisher packs, Steam is throwing open the sale process to community members. Every 12 hours or so users will be able to vote on a handful of games, nominating which should be discounted. The first vote pits Braid, Limbo and The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition against each other for the honour of becoming a bargain.
Another new feature this year is optional wishlist notifications, which will let you know when the game you want most are on sale.

- Borderlands Franchise - all games and DLC 50-75% off
- Hitman Franchise - all games and DLC 50-75% off
- Prince of Persia Franchise - all games 75% off
- Scribblenauts Unlimited - 33% off
- Wargame: European Escalation - 75% off
- Mirror's Edge - 75% off
Images of the current flash and daily deals follow, as well as available publisher bundles. The Steam Winter Sale runs until January 5 and will discount "thousands" of games. Steam is available for Linux, Mac and PC.
