Steam revenue for Zeboyd Games beat out Xbox Live sales in just six days
Robert Boyd, developer of indie RPGs Breath of Death VII and Cthulhu Saves the World, claims his firm Zeboyd Games made more money in one week on Steam as a $3 bundle, than the months both spent individually on XBL.
Speaking with on the Zeboyd Games blog, via Gamasutra, Boyd said the Steam sale was a "tremendous success," compared to the revenue gained being on XBL Indie Games Service for "over a year and a half."
Breath of Death VII and Cthulhu Saves the World launched on XBLIG in April and December 2009, respectively. Breath of Death VII has 50,000 copies for $1 each, and Cthulhu Saves the World has sold between 16,000 and 17,000 units for $3 each on XBLIG since launch.
The Steam bundle made $100,000 in six days with 30,000 units sold.
