Steam gets music player - listen to your music while gaming
Valve has released the Steam Music Player today for anyone with a Steam client. The feature was in beta earlier this year, and has now been activated for the public.
The Steam Music Player lets you listen to any music available on your hard drive while in game, provided it's in MP3 format. The player has playlist support and you can control it in-game through the steam overlay.
Steam's newest update has also added a 'Music' section under 'Library'. The music library will now atomically show game soundtracks available, provided the game is installed.
Valve is offering the soundtracks of all of its games, including the Free to Play documentary, for free, provided you own the games in question, to celebrate the launch. And here's a list of all the available soundtracks on the Steam store.
