The Steam library update is now out of beta

Steam users around the world have now received a completely updated library.

This week's Steam patch has brought the massive library overhaul out of beta after nearly six weeks of testing.

The library overhaul doesn't just change the look, it also brings with it a few neat features designed to generate interest for in-game events, and allow users to find out at a glance if any of their games received a big update.

Outside of the top-level changes, the overhaul also features a few filtering and tagging features to help you better organise your list of games.

It seems, according to some beta players, not all of these additions were well explained, leading to some confusion. Hopefully that has now been ironed out for launch.

The update went live today alongside the beta for Remote Play Together, Steam's latest feature that allows games with local co-op to be played online. Though Remote Play Together is not related to the new library UI, Valve's now likely shifted development focus to the upcoming feature as more users get heir hands on it.
