Steam Curators system is already being abused
Valve's Steam Curators system, which was introduced yesterday, is already being exploited by some for advertisement, self-promotion, and similar behaviour that Valve certainly never intended for.
Part of Valve's complete overhaul to the Steam home page was the introduction of the Steam Curators system. A system that enables people with influence, such as famous YouTubers and game publications to curate a list of games they believe are good, and for that list to later appear on their follower's homepage.
The one-day-old system is already being abused however. People on Reddit are already noticing cases like users advertising for third-party cd-key sellers, users using the system to advertise their own games, and some that are just bizarre.
Here are a few of the offenders.
Valve is starting to remove some of those however according to Kotaku.
You may remember a similar thing happening with the tagging system, despite some of those being funny, which is a lot different from what's happening to Curations.
