Stardew Valley's multiplayer beta is here
If Stardew Valley wasn't charming enough for you, now you can run a farm with your friends.
Stardew Valley is already such a massive indie smash-hit that players have repurchased it on almost every available platform. Now we can expect players to restart their farms all over again, this time with friends. Stardew Valley's multiplayer update is almost ready, but PC players get a bonus - they can play the multiplayer beta right now.
Oh, and if you were wondering: Yes, you can marry your in-game friends if you'd like.
The Stardew Valley multiplayer beta is available right now for Steam users, while GOG.com customers will get access in a few days. Instructions for accessing the beta are available on the game's official website with a warning that bugs and glitched features should be expected.
That being said, you can invite friends to your current farms, although once you save the game it cannot be used in previous versions.
Options will be available to invite players from your friends list, connect via invite codes, or work together from a LAN connection. Remember that each multiplayer partner needs their own home to connect with your game. Up to three cabins can be purchased for 100g and 10 Stone, at which point you can head back to the Main Menu and start a co-op session.
Once the beta period is complete, Stardew Valley's multiplayer update will go live for PC players. Here's hoping console versions will receive the update shortly afterwards.
