Stardew Valley has sold over 10 million copies worldwide
That's a massive milestone for Stardew Valley.
Stardew Valley is very popular, so popular, it has sold over 10 million copies since it was released in February 2016.
As noted by DualShockers, that's up from 6 million which was the last reported figure.
The Harvest Moon-esque RPG-sim was developed over four years by one-man team Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone for PC. Barone took the game to Steam Greenlight in 2012 to gauge interest for the game.
It was initially published by Chucklefish and went on to be released for multiple platforms including mobile. A multiplayer option was also eventually added.
The game has been updated repeatedly, most recently in November with update 1.4. It added new content and features along with some quality of life improvements and a 14-heart event for spouses (marry Elliott - trust me).
Stardew Valley is a great game, and if you haven't given it a go, you should. I have spent 642 hours in this game, and 51.2 hours in the last two weeks alone. That's up there with Skyrim and Morrowind as the most hours spent in a game. We won't discuss how many hours I have spent in Lotro as I have been playing the MMO since 2009. I'm sure it's a ridiculous figure.
