Star Wars Battlefront has some good news and some bad news for you.

Lots of Star Wars Battlefront information has been trickling out over the weekend, thanks both to press previews and DICE staff cheerfully tweeting answers to fan questions.

As part of this bounty, we received some welcome news; Battlefront design director Niklas Fegraeus confirmed the game runs at 60fps.

We assume that's all platforms, although we hope the PC version can also run uncapped for those with extra powerful rigs.

Now that's you're all buoyed up on that, here's some less delightful news: according to producer Craig McLeod speaking to PC Gamer, splitscreen isn't available on PC.

In fact, according to Fegraeus it's only available in local (offline) co-op for Missions, the mode in which you play with bots.

Just to bring you back out of the doldrums and end on a high note, Fegraeus also confirmed there will be more maps than have been mentioned in previews so far.

Excpect much more information on DICE's latest over the next few weeks, as well as at E3 2015 in June. Star Wars Battlefront comes to PC, PS4 and Xbox One in November.
