At the outset of Star Wars Battlefront 2, you'll be handed the base weapon for the Assault, Heavy, Officer, and Specialist classes. For Assault this is a blaster rifle, Heavy class gets a heavy blaster, Officer gets a pistol, and the Specialist class gets a sniper rifle. Rounding out the class weapons with the Specialist sniping class, the A280-CFE is undoubtedly the best sniper rifle to use in virtually any situation, when taking into account its rate of fire, range, and cooling power statistics.

The A280-CFE is a solid weapon for taking out enemy players at any range, and it can even be used fairly close up in some situations, for example if you need to defend a point on the map, due to its semi automatic rate of fire.
