Star Trek Online day-one patch will be massive
Cryptic has revealed what gamers can expect from the first update to hit Star Trek Online when it launches February 2.
A bunch, apparently, according to the latest State of the Game address.
"The first update is going to have more PvP, Klingon exploration content, more ground fleet actions, more ship costume pieces, more playable species, and then some," said executive producer Craig Zinkievich.
There will also be five-person party quests, more Federation episodes, daily missions, deep space engaging, Borg, the Borg Queen, quality-of-life updates, loads of fixes, tweaks, and more.
All this is in addition to the Beta patch released last week, just so there's no confusion.
"We'll be fine tuning as well, but don't expect thoughtless or harsh changes to game balance. We're more than willing to wait and make sure everything we do is measured and calculated," Zinkievich added.
Those who pre-ordered the game, will get to start playing it this Friday, which is four days before the rest of the globe.
Cryptic also released a new video today, featuring Leonard Nemoy in the studio doing some voice work for the game.
It's rather short, but it's Spock, and that's all that matters.
