Star Ocean 2 PSP: "Nothing announced as yet for Europe and US"

Star Ocean 2: Second Evolution for PSP is looking likely for a European and US release after Square Enix today gave a hopeful response to whether or not the RPG will make it out of Japan.

"There's nothing announced as yet for Europe and the US," said a spokesperson.

A Japanese version of the classic PS2 game for the Sony handheld released last Saturday. The PSP version features new character designs, battle scenes and animations over the PS2 game. For JRPG fans, a western release will be a must. Who knows: a release in Europe and the US may even yield the bonus DVD Japanese gamers got, that included footage of Star Ocean 4. Hope springs eternal.
