Star Citizen crowdfunding total surpasses $17 million

Star Citizen has passed $17 million in funding, up from the $15 million announced on August 2. The space-sim from Cloud Imperium Games, at press times, stands at $17,077,414 total making it most player-funded project to date. The new milestone gives backers a ship upgrade containing an engine modifier and a battlecruiser ship class. Should it reach $18 million, an "exclusive star system" will be granted to supporters.
