SSX MP details 100,000 player events, trailer, pre-order perks

EA took the stage at gamescom to talk details on the upcoming reboot of the SSX franchise.

Some of what they spoke about was similar to Need for Speed Hot Pursuit's Autolog social networking feature. You can make friends on the service, race against their ghosts, recommend drops on the mountain etc.

The racing events in this mode could feature up to 100,000 players (don't get excited, it sounds much more like a tournament than a 100,000 player downhill rumble.) They also talked pre-order bonuses which are listed below:

GameStop – receive legendary SSX character Eddie Wachowski, his Elite snowboard, and a bonus boost
Origin – Elise's Elite snowboard and a bonus boost
Amazon – Mac's Elite snowboard and a bonus boost
Best Buy – Zoe's Elite snowboard and a bonus boost
