Square Enix's US president and CEO Mike Fischer has left the company
Square Enix's US president and CEO Mike Fischer has left the company, according to a report on Polygon. Fischer joined the company in 2010, and according to the report, he is now vice president of digital video and music at Amazon Japan. Prior to his stint at Square, Fischer worked for Microsoft, SEGA and Namco Bandai. He told Polygon he left Square on good terms. "We can confirm that Mike Fischer is no longer with Square Enix," said the company in a statement. "We’d like to thank Mike for all of his efforts and contributions to the company and to its employees." The firm's president Yoichi Wada left earlier this year.
