Square Enix's releases may be a little Final Fantasy-related at the moment, but the publisher does have at least one new game coming out - a mysterious little title called Antique Carnevale. Instead of straight-up announcing the game, however, Square Enix's JRPGs, we're not entirely sure what to expect from the game. A Japanese website has launched for the title, introducing vague story details about people losing their free will in a "labyrinth" and becoming dolls in the process. (Or at least, that's my reading of Gematsu's transation of its plot.

The trailer introduces Bernard, a young knight capable of summoning a Wyvern in battle. Antique Carnevale's website states that Bernard has been ordered by the president to track down "the strongest masters of the next generation" for some undisclosed purpose. I'm guessing the labyrinth will have something to do with it.

Antique Carnevale will be receive additional trailers for its characters on July 7, 10, 12, and 14, presumably before an official announcement about the game itself. It seems likely each character will fill a role within an RPG party, but right now your guess is as good as mine.
