Spyro Reignited Trilogy officially announced, coming to PS4 and Xbox One in September
After a morning of leaks, Activision has now officially announced the Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
As you may have probably guessed if you've been following today's many leaks, Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a remastered collection that includes the first three Spyro games. It's coming to PS4, and Xbox One on September 21.
Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage!, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon are all remade form the ground up by developer Toys for Bob. The collection also features "enhanced reward sequences", but more importantly, controls have been updated alongside the graphical overhaul.
All three games will support analogue stick movement, a "smooth" camera, and other modern features. Cinematics have also been recreated. Overall, you'll have over 100 levels to play in the trilogy.
It sounds like the voice lines have been re-recorded, too, as Activision mentions actor Tom Kenny reprising his role. As for the music, the Spyro Reignited Trilogy will "re-imagine" Stewart Copeland’s original soundtrack.
If you own Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, you'll be able to watch the Spyro Reignited Trilogy trailer in the Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped title screen. You can do this from Monday, April 9, and you just need to enter the (↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → square) code on the title screen.
