Despite the delay, Spyro Reignited Trilogy still requires a day one download

Spyro Reignited Trilogy players who opt for the disc version will need to download a big day one patch at release.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy, which was initially scheduled for release in September, was later delayed to November.

At the time, many assumed the delay would allow Activision to have all three games available on disc. That's because the publisher had previously announced that only the first game would be on disc, and physical version owners would have to download the two remaining games.

Unfortunately, while the delay did help, you're still going to need to download a big update on day one. Activision confirmed to IGN that the disc version comes with the full game of Spyro the Dragon, and some levels from Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage!, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon.

The rest, Activision clarified, is included in the day one update. This means that you'll be able to play some stages from Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage!, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon, though Activision didn't give an exact count. We're also not yet sure how big the update is going to be.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy is due for release November 13 on PS4, and Xbox One.
