Splinter Cell: Echoes comic charts Sam's life between Conviction & Blacklist
Splinter Cell: Echoes is the incoming comic book written by Nathan Edmondson, that will explore the life and times of Sam Fisher between Ubisoft's Conviction and Blacklist game. I'm keen to see the chapter where his voice changes just to get some kind of closure on the matter.
Revealed on the Ubisoft blog, the 88-page comic will see Sam trying to enjoy retirement with his daughter Sarah, only to be thrust back into the world of hiding behind things by his old friend Vic.
It'll be a more personal story, said Edmondson, "I think the thing I enjoyed most was writing [Sam's] relationships, especially his relationship with his daughter. We had to understand, not only how he sees her and what his relationship is with her, but also how she sees him and how she comes to accept him into her life and the strain and difficulty between them.
"You’ll learn more about the people he’s fighting and some of the enemies he has made and is making. Part of the meaning behind the title, Echoes, is that Sam’s past actions have resonated and echoed forward into the future and now he has to deal with some of the consequences of his actions in the past, even the unintended ones."
Echoes won't lead directly into Splinter Cell Blacklist but it is canon, so it may be worth a look-see.
You can get a copy bundled with the Splinter Cell Blacklist Collector’s Edition on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. It's out August 20 in the States and August 23 in Europe.
Thanks Polygon.
