Splinter Cell content added to Ghost Recon Online

Ghost Recon Online has been updated with content from the Splinter Cell series including maps, weapons and equipment.

Six weapons and three armour sets associated with Splinter Cell's Sam Fisher have been added to the game, along with Splinter Cell avatars.

The update also added a new map called Khyber Stronghold, which you can check out in the trailer below. Ubisoft told IGN that the Pakistani fortress is "the most ambitious map we've developed to date".

This is at least the second crossover update for the free-to-play shooter, as Assassin's Creed content was added in February.
