Splatoon global sales pass 1 million

Nintendo's first shooter repays the company's investment in experimentation.

Splatoon has shifted over 1 million units worldwide, Nintendo of Japan has announced.

We expected something of the kind after the Wii U exclusive launched charted in the May NPDs despite releasing at the very end of the tracked period. That's a hell of a feat for an exclusive, let alone a brand new IP.

You could even say these sales are inkredible but you would then go to jail for making a very tired pun.
