Spider-Man reviews round-up, all the scores
Video game reviewers think everyone should be like J. Jonah Jameson and get their hands-on Spider-Man.
Marvel's Spider-Man is one of the most-anticipated Sony exclusives since God of War, and has been ever since we saw that gorgeous E3 gameplay demo. Thankfully, not only does it arrive this week, the overall response is that it's absolutely worth the wait. All Insomnaic Games likely needed to do was re-capture the fun web-swinging mechanics of PS2-era classic, and we'd be happy. Yet by most accounts, the studio has gone above and beyond with this portrayal.
Spider-Man follows friendly neighborhood web-slinger Peter Parker after he defeats the villainous Kingpin, Wilson Fisk. Unfortunately, this leaves a power vacuum to be filled by Mister Negative, who recruits Peter's worst enemies to prevent our hero from interfering with his plans.
Our own Alex Donaldson reviewed the game, and believesMarvel finally has a superhero title that rivals DC's Batman: Arkham series.
Spider-Man launches for PS4 on September 7, 2018. Pre-loads will be available starting tomorrow, and we have lots of gameplay footage to review while you wait.
