Special Mario DSi XL rumoured for US launch
Wal-Mart's posted a listing of the red anniversary Mario DSi XL, despite the pack remaining unannounced for the US.
The bundle's listed as "Mario Kart DS & 2 Value Games" and priced $200, as reported by Kotaku.
There's no date. The hardware's being made to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the launch of Super Mario Bros.
When asked if NoA is to release the hardware, Nintendo UK simply told us that the firm's US arm has "not confirmed their plans yet."
Nintendo's already announced it’s bringing the partner Wii pack and a seperate DSi bundle to the UK.
The DSi bundle will come in red with special character icon art included, with a copy of New Super Mario Bros also packaged. That’ll be released on October 22, and is yet unpriced.
The Wii bundle, meanwhile, will come with New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Wii Sports and the original Donkey Kong, which was Mario’s first appearance in a game, pre-installed on the console.
That will release on October 29. Again, there's no price.
The publisher announced earlier this month that the Wii bundle will be released in Japan on November 11 for ¥20,000, while the DSi pack will be released October 28 for ¥18,000.
