Sony explains how to get the most out of Kratos in Mortal Kombat

Sony has posted a how-to of sorts on how to be victorious in Mortal Kombat using the PS3-exclusive Kratos as your fighter.

According to the post, Kratos is more of a tactician instead of a brawler, and while his combo attacks are not patriotically fast or powerful, players must use "finesse and animal cunning," to get the job done.

Using the Helios Head like you would Scorpion’s spear or Sub-Zero’s ice blast, it not only has good range, but stuns on impact which is useful against characters which use jumping attacks. It can be even more devastating when using the Olympic Ascension move, which launches both fighters into the air, and followed up with the Olympic Toss, you can cause up to 30 percent more damage.

Hades Pain and the Hades Edge can also be used, and are especially fitting when going against attackers which use teleportation moves.

There's plenty more information on how best to use Kratos on the PS Blog, which also details the God of War's moves, fatalities, and combo attacks.

Mortal Kombat was released in the US yesterday, and is out tomorrow in Europe.
