Sony dates MGS4 bundle as "late Q2 2008"

That June 12 release date for MGS4 is looking shaky. Sony just put out a press release saying the US MGS4 bundle will release in "late Q2 2008".

"To coincide with the much-anticipated North American launch of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots in late Q2 2008, SCEA will introduce a PS3 bundle, which will include an 80GB PS3, the upcoming blockbuster Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and a DUALSHOCK 3 wireless controller for $499," said the release.

Sounds as though Konami doesn't have a concrete date for Snake's latest as yet. Speaking to videogaming247 just now, a senior UK sales source said that "summer" in Europe is as good as it gets for the stealth-action title at the moment.

As previously mentioned, Konami is aiming for a worldwide launch for MGS4.
